Departing Faculty - Mr. Jack Lattimore

Riverdale Review: What is your role in the Riverdale community?

Mr. Jack Lattimore: I am in the Riverdale math department, and teach upper school math.

RR: How long have you been at Riverdale?

JL: I have been here for 2 years.

RR: What is a moment you will never forget from your years at Riverdale?

JL: The work I have done with students, has been amazing specifically, the time when I took students outside to estimated the measure of some trees on campus, was really fun. I also have really enjoyed doing other out door activities.

RR: What is your favorite class that you have taught and why?

JL: I have taught two classes here, I have taught geometry and statistics. I really enjoy both for different reasons. Geometry is mainly 9th grade student. Statistics is primarily seniors. I think it’s great to teach students that are just coming into Riverdale to get them excited and engaged about math. It has also been very wonderful to get to teach students at the end of there Riverdale experience, to get them thinking statistically and about real world data.

RR: Do you have any funny stories that occurred at Riverdale that you would like to share?

JL: Not any I can think of right now.

RR: Is there anything you will not miss about Riverdale?

JL: I am excited for what comes next, but nothing I would not miss about Riverdale

RR: What will you be doing next?

JL: Moving to teach math in a school in San Francisco.

RR: Do you have any words of wisdom you would like to leave the RCS community with?

JL: Make the most of the Riverdale and enjoy the community because Riveralde is such a wonderful place with many opportunities.
