New Faculty: Angelique Rodriguez - Middle and Upper School Dance

Riverdale Review: What is your role in the Riverdale community?

Angelique Rodriguez: So I’m the new middle and upper school dance teacher and I’m also a homebase teacher for seventh grade.

RR: Where did you work previously?

AR: I have a lot of different experiences. I used to work for an all-girls Catholic high school. It’s called Preston High School. I was not doing dance there. My other job that I currently still do is working for a dance studio. I teach dance there for competitive students. I am also still an adjudicator for dance competitions throughout the United States and Canada.

RR: What did you do this past summer?

AR: I didn’t go away much because I had a lot of events for personal stuff, but I had a new baby. So that’s exciting. I had her in the spring, technically, but I was able to go out with her a little bit more. So I’m actually a new mommy of two under two. She’s my second.
