New Faculty: Melisa Nozière - Middle and Upper School CS and STEM Teacher

Riverdale Review: To start off, what is your role in the Riverdale community?

Melisa Nozière: Yes, so my role, I am curently serving as a middle school and upper school computer science teacher and STEM teacher.

RR: Okay, great! So, where did you work previously?

MN: I previously worked at Columbia University where I supported a K-8 program, as well as supporting college students.

RR: What are your hopes for the school year?

MN: My hopes for the school year is that every one of my students who take my class and also those who are waiting to get into my course, leave feeling more confident, building confidence in computer science and computational thinking. My hope is that they see that computer science is connected to all parts of their interests and hobbies. So I hope that they leave with a bit more confidence.
