Parting Words from Graduating Editors - Natalie Brenner
Riverdale Review: How long have you been on the Riverdale Review?
Natalie Brenner: I have been on the Review since 10th grade. I started on the first day of 10th grade as a writer for News, and then was Arts editor, and then have been managing editor for the last year.
RR: What was your position on the Riverdale Review?
NB: I was a staff writer for my first year, Arts editor for my second year, and then co-managing editor this past year.
RR: What was your favorite part about being on the Review?
NB: I think as managing editor, since I’m covering features with Ava, I read through different people’s interviews and interview responses, which was really fun. Surprisingly, I wasn’t expecting it to be such a fun job, but I got to see a lot of heartfelt responses and really funny answers.
RR: What’s a highlight or funny story you have from your time on the Review?
NB: A big highlight was in junior year when I got to interview and write an article about Congressman Ritchie Torres, who is Riverdale’s congressman. I pitched the idea, and I reached out to his whole team to try and beg him to do the interview with us.
