Parting Words from Graduating Editors - Oliver Mirsepahi
Riverdale Review: How long have you been on the Riverdale Review?
Oliver Mirsepahi: I joined the Riverdale Review in 9th-grade and discovered it through the Activity Fair when I was just browsing around in the beginning of my time at Riverdale. I ended up really liking the community and the structure of the Review, as it felt like a very organized club.
RR: Why did you join the Review?
OM: I joined the Riverdale Review because I was on the student newspaper at my middle school and generally enjoyed writing on my own terms. I enjoy creative writing and wanted to be a part of a four-year community at Riverdale, which has been very meaningful to me.
RR: What’s a highlight or funny story you have from your time on the Review?
OM: One funny story is from one of my first weeks doing press week. I was super paranoid about getting to school on time that morning, and I knew I was 15 minutes late. I got there and walked into the classroom, but no one was there, and I realized there was no press week that day. I was at school an hour early and had nothing to do, which was pretty funny because I was scared about being late to something that didn’t exist.
