New Faculty: Abigail Milton - Middle and Upper School Spanish Teacher

Riverdale Review: What is your current position at Riverdale and what do you teach? 

Abigail Milton: My current position is a middle school and upper school Spanish teacher. I teach grades six through 10 this year in a bunch of different mixed level classes. 

AG: Did you always want to be a teacher? 

AM: I did not always wanna be a teacher. When I was little, I wanted to be Mia Ham when I grew up. But I’ve found the people that I really align with. Not all teachers teach as a profession, and there are a lot of teachers in my family which led me here.

RR: Very nice. And finally, what are you looking forward to this school year? 

AM: I’m looking forward to getting to know my students better, to watch students grow. One of the cool things about being a middle school teacher is that when the students arrive, they’re really kids and then when they leave, they’re really not kids anymore.
