Riverdale Review: What is your role in the Riverdale community?

Mariana Martínez: I am a Spanish teacher. [Besides that,] I don’t know if I found one yet; it’s been a month so far, and I’m trying to find a place where I could contribute, outside the classroom. I signed up for the debate team, so maybe I will start doing that… I’m looking forward to finding one in the upcoming year.

RR: Do you have any hobbies, interests, or talents you want to share with the Riverdale community?

MM: I love making travel itineraries. I do have my number one hobby, and most of my students know this; I love watching football. I love watching, especially my football team: Fútbol Club Barcelona. I also like reading and traveling. On the weekends, since I’ve been living here for a year, I like to pick one neighborhood and make an itinerary for that day, and go explore the bookstores, cafés and anything else.
