New Faculty: Laura Shebroe - Middle School Math Teacher

Riverdale Review: What is your role in the Riverdale community?

Laura Shebroe: I teach Math 6 and 7.

RR: Where did you work previously?

LS: I spent the last eight years teaching grades 6 through 8 at a charter school in Brooklyn. For my last two years I was actually an assistant principal there.

RR: What are your hopes for this school year?

LS: I hope that sixth and seventh grade students can develop their math problem solving skills and confidence. I also hope to plan and execute some fun math projects.

RR: Do you have any hobbies, interests, or talents you want to share with the Riverdale community?

LS: I really enjoy cooking and running.

RR: What’s your favorite thing about the fall season?

LS: I really enjoy the coziness of sweater weather. Now that I have a child, I also have a revived appreciation for Halloween.
