Riverdale Review: What’s your role within the Riverdale community?

Julia Bovenzi: I am a ninth and tenth grade science teacher, so I teach Integrated Biochem to ninth and tenth graders.

RR: Is that new from a previous role?

JB: Yes, it’s a different course and most other schools don’t have it, but in the past I’ve taught both earth science and biology at the high school level, so it’s not too different.

RR: Where did you work previously?

JB: I, for the past twelve years, was working at a charter school in Washington Heights called New Heights Academy.

RR: Anything interesting you did this past summer?

JB: I went camping with my kids in San Diego. They’re first time camping, so that was really fun.

RR: What’s your favorite thing about the fall?

JB: The cooling of the temperatures.sweater weather.
