New Faculty: Frederick Dawson - Middle School History and Health Teacher

Riverdale Review: What is your role in the Riverdale community?

Frederick Dawson: I am the seventh and eighth grade history teacher, I also lead an eighth grade homebase and an eighth grade health course.

RR: Where did you work previously?

FD: I worked at a couple of different public and charter schools as a history teacher both in high school and middle school.

RR: What are your hopes for this school year?

FD: My hopes this year is to continue building relationships with faculty and students outside of the classroom, be it at sports games, community service, any of the different programs we have here at school

RR: What’s your favorite thing about the fall season?

FD: The colors: seeing the leaves change and starting to wear fall colorveloping an interest in photography. to put themselves in the role of students– it was really rewarding. to see.

RR: Do you have any hobbies, interests, or talents you want to share with the Riverdale community?

FD: Sure, I love bike riding, so I’ve been pushing myself as of late to go a little bit further and see different things. And I’ve been developing an interest in photography.
